2 killed in shooting at Minnesota hotel

TEHRAN, Jan. 09 (MNA) –  Police in Minnesota are investigating after a shooting left three people dead, including the suspect, on Monday evening.

According to the Cloquet Police Department via X, the area of Big Lake Road and Highway 33 has been secured and police have found "one deceased person whom they believe to be the shooter."

The department said this all began at approximately 6:30 p.m. when an employee at the Super 8 Motel called 911 to report they found another hotel employee "who looked like she's been attacked."

Police responded and found a 22-year-old woman with a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

As they investigated, Cloquet Police found a 35-year-old man in a car in the hotel parking lot, who they said was dead from a gunshot wound.

Later, police found a 32-year-old man outside on the hotel property who was dead from what "appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A gun was found next to him. Officers said they reviewed surveillance footage and determined the man was the suspect.
